Job Description
To own, execute, scale, entrench and commercialise the Business and Commercial Banking (BCB) strategy for large country, according to metrics defined by the BU. Deploys locally relevant client value propositions in strategic focus sectors to deliver scale, client value and commercial value in line with business objectives. Localises the BCB strategy and priorities trade-offs in collaboration with Group (including relevant toolbox/es).
Qualifications
Qualification: Post Graduate in Business Commerce
Experience: Significant experience in all facets of Business and Commercial Banking, including heading up a business unit or segment. Knowledge and experience of country business and commercial clients, their needs and their markets, gained from an extended period of industry experience, demonstrable ability in high-level leadership in organisations of comparable size and complexity and an understanding of how the 4th industrial revolution is impacting financial services companies.
Output:
- Directly manage the end-to-end BCB value-chain (with full suite of all BCB products) and manages shared in-country capabilities on behalf of other country business units. Operates in a complex regulatory environment with high economic activity and a highly competitive market (competition from other banks and fintechs). Runs country with a large client-base and a differentiated sectormix. Country typically has mature capabilities, and they have limited reliance on group/centre for in-country execution.
- Accountable for overall risk management and adherence to all governance standards for the continued sustainability of BCB.
- Adhere to all license requirements for the BCB in country. Anticipate and respond to the changing need of markets, clients and industries. Apply a strong working knowledge of value and supply chains with an ability to articulate successfully implemented strategies that have delivered substantial client and bank commercial value. Co-create (with Domain Head), monitor, deliver and manage the in-country execution of the BCB strategy in alignment with Group requirements. Co-develop (with Domain Heads) and implement the BCB toolbox for country and deploys in country.
- Create multi-product client experiences to address business events, distributed through client engagement platforms.
- Deliver average revenue growth per client in line with objectives to broaden the earnings base
