The Finance & Strategy team improves strategic and financial decision-making across the company. We maintain our operating model, analyze deals and capital allocation decisions, and think a lot about strategy.

We are looking for a Finance & Strategy Manager based in Canada to lead our International forecasting and reporting cycles and lead deep-dive multi-market analysis to help us understand and better serve our merchants.

You Will:

• Support critical Annual Planning and Outlook cycles by managing the consolidation of forecasts across all of our international markets and summarizing outputs to be presented to Square’s CFO.

• Be the DRI for International F&S month/close processes and build summary decks in partnership with market DRIs to explain important performance trends to inform team leads

• Build, own and maintain Performance Indicator dashboards by retrieving data from SQL and analyzing large datasets

• Produce cross-market analysis to support both market DRIs and local market teams, covering areas such as churn, product performance, and lifecycle analysis.

• Lead modeling and analysis for ad-hoc multi-market projects, develop relationships across the business, and present insights to improve local markets.

You Have:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Data Science, Business or other relevant field

• 5+ years of relevant industry experience

• Excellent proficiency in financial modeling and Excel (be prepared for a case study)

• Experience with SQL and data visualization tools (Looker)

• Commitment to Square's purpose of Economic Empowerment

Even Better:

• Chartered Accountant or equivalent qualification 

• Data science experience

• Experience with payments industry

• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Looker) and reporting tool (e.g. Hyperion)

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. Canada locations are categorized into one of two zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Zone A: CAD $94,600 - CAD $142,000
Zone B: CAD $91,300 - CAD $136,900
