Job Description
We are looking for a seasoned product lead to set the product vision and lead the strategy and execution for the Bitcoin Platform team.
We are looking for an exceptional people manager that can build, develop and grow a team of PMs. You will help formalize and scale the product management function, including defining organizational best practices and Bitcoin Platform team’s product culture, while leading product strategy at large. As the Product Lead you will report to the General Manager and work closely with cross functional partner leads of our other verticals to drive company-wide alignment and impact.
You Will:
In collaboration with the leadership team, set the vision for the future of the Bitcoin platform.
Work closely with the broader Product organization (Cash App, Square, TBD, Bitkey, C=) to ensure platform level support for various business units building on Bitcoin
Work on the ideation, design, launch as well as optimisations of the bitcoin platform whilst defining product requirements, writing product specifications, and managing product launches.
Partner with a full stack team (engineers, designers compliance, data scientists, operations) on a daily basis to ship innovative and incredible experiences, at scale
Optimize for execution velocity, making tactical tradeoffs between business priorities and resources
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for your products and use data to inform product decisions.
Manage the product backlog, prioritize features, and work with the engineering team to ensure timely delivery.
Take ownership of complex issues within and beyond organizational boundaries; act as escalation point for senior leadership concerns
Conduct and lead user research, perform data analysis, and perform market analysis to gather product insights
Qualifications
15+ years of experience in a financial services/technology company including 10+ years of prior team development and people management experience. Distributed workforce experience a plus.
Demonstrable proactive contribution of ideas and strategies to early-stage product development and roadmaps is key to shaping the product vision and ensuring its success.
Strong experience of building APIs products/platforms.
Experience with scoping, developing and shipping platform features and tool improvements from concept to implementation.
Strong understanding of Bitcoin and bitcoin regulatory requirements.
Proven experience working with bitcoin infrastructure, such as exchanges, and/or custodians.
Experience working with large engineering focused cross-functional teams that include the following engineering disciplines: backend distributed systems, security engineering, applied cryptography
Experience working with hot and cold wallet products.
Experience working with policy, audit and compliance teams.
A strong understanding of blockchain technology and its applications in financial services.
Strong knowledge and understanding of how to navigate security and sensitive information surrounding bitcoin custody

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Zone A: USD $217,800 - USD $326,800
Zone B: USD $217,800 - USD $326,800
Zone C: USD $217,800 - USD $326,800
