Job Description
The Product Compliance team is a group of strategic compliance advisors to the Cash App Product Team. The team partners with Product teams pre-launch to define requirements, identify corresponding controls, and provide ongoing compliance support post-implementation. Product Compliance are also key decision makers on compliance controls and recommendations to the Business. Additionally, Product Compliance Managers work closely with partner banks to help build and maintain world class compliance programs for affiliated products.
We are seeking a Product Compliance Manager to support Cash App's Lending compliance program. In this role, reporting to the Lending Compliance Lead for Cash App, you will drive a strong compliance posture for Cash App’s Lending products, including Cash App Borrow and Afterpay. The ideal candidate has experience working directly with product teams on a day-to-day basis, while also being able to provide effective oversight and governance of key compliance activities such as issues management, testing and monitoring, policies and procedures, regulatory exam management support, complaints management, as well as credit decisioning policy and model risk management. Lastly, it is critical the candidate is a great, collaborative partner, who has experience working with Bank Partners, Product, Engineering, Design and Legal teams.
In this role, you will:
Partner with Product and Regulatory Counsel to understand the Legal obligations associated with new products and features
Identify, document and support the design of strong, mitigating controls in accordance with Legal requirements
Have a strong understanding of laws and regulatory requirements pertaining to Cash App’s Lending products, including AML/BSA, UDAAP, Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Regulation Z, Military Lending Act (MLA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA)
Be embedded with Product partners, understanding their strategic vision, and providing strategic compliance advice and support
Identify product gaps in controls and collaborate on compliant remediation plans
Work with other Compliance partners to identify, document, and develop an inventory of risks and controls for our Lending products
Remain up-to-date on regulatory changes and landscape, best practices and new developments in the industry
Qualifications
7+ years in the compliance industry, ideally with experience in payments and lending compliance
Regulatory knowledge, specifically in areas pertaining to AML/BSA, UDAAP, Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Regulation Z, Military Lending Act (MLA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA)
A metrics-driven approach to create substantiated solutions
Operational knowledge in strongly support our Product partners
Ability to influence others and gain support around compliance goals
Work with team members of all levels

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Zone A: USD $135,200 - USD $202,800
Zone B: USD $125,800 - USD $188,600
Zone C: USD $119,000 - USD $178,400
Zone D: USD $108,200 - USD $162,200
