Job Description
The Senior Executive Compensation Analyst will assist in analyzing, designing, and administering executive compensation programs for the company. They will work closely with Block’s internal Executive Compensation Consultant and other members of the compensation team to ensure that the company's executive compensation programs are competitive, fair, and aligned with the company's overall strategy and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting competitive analysis of executive compensation programs to ensure the company's programs are competitive and attractive to top talent.
- Support in analyzing market trends and providing recommendations on compensation strategy and design.
- Help develop and draft materials for quarterly compensation committee meetings
- Provide support in administering the company's executive compensation programs, including reviews of job descriptions, salary bands, market benchmarking, annual reviews and bonus , and equity programs.
- Support HR and legal to ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to executive compensation including preparation of the proxy statement and other disclosures.
- Assist in job evaluations and development of job framework for executive positions.
- Participate in the development of the company's overall compensation strategy and ensure executive compensation programs align with this strategy.
- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate reporting and forecasting of executive compensation expenses.
- Provide consultation and support to senior leaders and HR business partners on executive compensation-related matters.
Qualifications
You have:
- 3-5 years human resources experience or equivalent consulting experience, with at least 2 years experience working in executive compensation.
- Knowledge of executive compensation programs, market trends, governance and regulatory requirements.
- Experience working with compensation survey data and public company proxy disclosures.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills (e.g., numerical research, data analysis, modeling) with the ability to synthesize findings into actionable recommendations. Highly detail-oriented with emphasis on accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions.
- Writing and presentation experience preferred (e.g., research reports, briefs, recommendations).
- Strong project management skills and ability to work independently.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
- Proficiency in Google software (e.g., Slides and Sheets).
- Experience with HRIS software and systems (e.g., Workday, UKG, PayScale).

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Zone A: USD $114,200 - USD $139,600
Zone B: USD $106,200 - USD $129,800
Zone C: USD $97,100 - USD $118,700
Zone D: USD $85,700 - USD $104,700

This role is also eligible to participate in Block's equity plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies, and may be eligible for a sign-on bonus.
