Job Description
The Corporate Security team at Square is responsible for enabling foundational teams such as Finance, Business Systems, IT, Legal, People, and Communications, to have agility to execute on their initiatives without compromising security. To accomplish this, CorpSec Engineers are highly skilled on the risks inherent in the business processes, interactions with third parties, threats to employee endpoints, corporate data center resources, and cloud (SaaS / PaaS) solutions employed across Square.
You will:
Work directly with foundational teams to audit Square’s SaaS / IaaS / PaaS business systems
Perform vendor risk assessment for third-party solutions that address security threats
Establish and maintain workforce identity capabilities through single sign-on (SSO) and MFA
Develop security policies, requirements, and guidelines to address corporate risk
Perform threat modeling exercises with business partners to identify risks in corporate systems
Communicate, document, prioritize, and drive security remediation to completion
Influence secure designs and roadmaps for effective risk management
Work with a dynamic, fast-paced, and geographically-distributed team of experts
Qualifications
Deep technical understanding of common security vulnerabilities and risks
Strong knowledge of risk countermeasures and compensating controls
Facility with empathetic interpersonal interactions via video conference
A thoughtful approach to technical analysis and ability to quickly assess new platforms
Five years of demonstrated security & risk management experience working in a technology-focused company
Ideal candidate would have:
Experience working in a remote team environment

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Zone A: USD $167,300 - USD $204,500
Zone B: USD $158,900 - USD $194,300
Zone C: USD $150,600 - USD $184,000
Zone D: USD $142,200 - USD $173,800

This role is also eligible to participate in Block's equity plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies, and may be eligible for a sign-on bonus. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a commission plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
