Job Description
The Square Payroll team mission is to build the next generation of payroll solutions that empower sellers and their teams to succeed together. Now more than ever, as the economy reopens and employers want to rehire, they need to search for ways that they can support and provide value for their staff and for their business. We are looking for a passionate designer who is excited to create meaningful change for small- and medium-sized business owners and their employees.
As a Service Designer for Square Payroll you will run design discovery and execution for our tax and payroll operations. You will reduce complexity and create scalability for our internal systems and tools. You will help guide the roadmap to give our business owners peace of mind by helping them stay compliant and giving them control of their cash flow. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, operation specialists, and customer service teams to deliver a remarkable product.
You Will:
You will create elegant and clear journey maps, service blueprints, and documentation of systems.
You will create professional, well-thought-out designs using established design system.
You will improve internal processes to improve our customer experience and create efficiencies for our business.
You will facilitate workshops, conduct research, and work cross-functionally to create a collective understanding of our tools, systems and services.
You will establish UX metrics such as task analysis, NPS and survey data
This is a remote-friendly position.
Qualifications
You have:
Around 5 years of professional design experience
A portfolio of work on which you were the primary designer, with moderate guidance from design leadership
Experience in service design (Systems Design, UX/UI Design, Organizational Design)
