Job Description
We are seeking a detailed oriented Global Payroll Accountant to support payroll accounting activities across the US and Rest of World (ROW) countries. This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate payroll accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, reports, and timely month-end close activities.
THE CHALLENGE:
- Control workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
- Prepare internal payroll reports and develop ad hoc financial reporting as needed
- Assure confidentiality and security of records and information
- Responsible for month-end tasks including payroll-related journal entries, account reconciliations, and tax compliance for US and ROW countries
- Ensure compliance with SOX requirements
- Support internal and external audits
- Support payroll tax, statutory, and compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions
- Ensure payroll processes and accounting practices are consistent with company policies and applicable local regulations
- Partner with Payroll, HR, Finance, and external payroll providers to resolve discrepancies
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll accounting processes and reporting
ABOUT YOU:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3+ years of payroll accounting or accounting experience, preferably with global payroll exposure (US and ROW)
- Strong understanding of U.S. payroll and familiarity with international payroll practices
- Experience with payroll reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, month-end close and audits
- Strong Excel and analytical skills, experience with payroll systems preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented, highly organized and analytical skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work effectively with teams across multiple countries and time zones
- Discreet and trustworthy with confidential materials and conversations
- Positive, can-do attitude, diplomacy and approachability

OUR RECRUITMENT PROCESS:
- Initial Screening: A quick chat with our Talent Acquisition Partner to understand your background and expectations.
- Technical Assessment: A short (home) task to showcase your technical skills.
- Two Technical Interviews: Meet with the Technical team and later with the Hiring Manager to dive into your solution, as also discuss team fit.

Additional Information
The minimum monthly salary for this position is according to the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Overpayment will be considered depending on qualifications and working experience.
