Job Description

ABOUT US:

Join our division, “Sportradar ad:s”, where we provide data-driven marketing and sponsorship services to the iGaming industry. Our purpose-built tools and services cater to the individual marketing needs of sportsbooks and media publishers worldwide. Imagine working in an environment surrounded by sports data, live play-by-play statistics, virtual sports, microservices, and betting – all while maintaining an agile mindset and a commitment to delivering exceptional value for our customers. We’re passionate about our work and deeply care about our people. If you’re ready for the challenge, join us in growing, innovating, and developing!
The Paid Search team is developing tools that will integrate and analyze data from our clients’ chosen search advertising platforms, such as Google Ads and Microsoft Ads. This will empower our PPC experts to provide tailored guidance on improving account performance. Additionally, we aim to enhance client accounts through direct customisation, allowing us to dynamically update ads with live content from our internal feeds or those provided by clients.

THE CHALLENGE:
As a (Senior) Software Engineer - Paid Search (m/f/d) in the Paid Search team, you will be a core member of the cross-functional product team on the delivery of their roadmap and helping the more junior members of the team develop via mentoring. Working closely with the Product Owner you will have the opportunity to shape the product backlog via ideation and refinement. You will help guide the technical direction of the team, leaning on your experience to shape innovative solutions.

From a technical perspective, our product consists of multiple microservices hosted entirely in a cloud environment with AWS. We employ Terraform used as infrastructure-as-code (IaC), ensuring consistent and efficient environment management. Our backend is predominantly developed with NodeJS & Typescript. We deploy to AWS Lambdas for our APIs, which connect to Amazon DynamoDB for handling mutable data. Additionally, we manage substantial data volumes stored in Amazon S3, which are subsequently crawled and analysed using AWS Glue and Athena. To facilitate communication between our services, we utilise a combination of Amazon SNS and SQS, providing a robust and scalable messaging system. The front-end is built with Vue.js, leveraging PNPM for fast and efficient package management, and Turborepo for orchestrating the monorepo. We work in a trunk-based development setup, promoting collaboration, rapid integration and early feedback to accelerate delivery and maintain high code quality. Our continuous integration and deployments are managed through GitLab CI.
