Job Description
The Product Ownership team serves as the connection between the Product Management / System Architecture Team and the extended Development Teams. The individual in the Senior manager role is a hands-on role that requires Leadership of a team while also serving as the Project Owner for specific projects and teams. This person understands and coordinates feature backlog grooming for all releases and establishes their dependencies on each other. The individual will lead the translation of software features into requirements and follows Agile Scrum based software development philosophies and way of working. The individual and their team will define software release plans and scope of work with the technical lead, Product Management, Quality Assurance, Program Management and SW Development teams. This functional group will also own bringing the Design History File (DHF) and associated Technical Files together, in conjunction with QA / RA teams. This role serves as the single voice on SW releases into and out of Engineering and serves as the Leader of Product Ownership and associated Tools and Processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define Software release plan and scope with platform lead / PMO / Marketing / Design/ Engineering teams.
- Be the main voice on SW releases to assure engineering deliverables are meeting the needs of the business.
- Collaborate with all product stakeholders to transition the business requirements to technical requirements.
- Responsible for defining and leading Sprints
- Manage the backlog for grooming to hand off to Scrum Master for Sprint Planning.
- Follow SCRUM processes that will lead into a complete Agile Methodology for SW delivery.
- Recommend improvements and assist in driving alignment across the organization, including influencing others to adopt new processes and ways of working.
- Ensure compliance with processes and data and information integrity of all tools used by the Product Owner function in performing their job.
- Lead team, own processes, develop tools and provide objective KPI measures for performance of team as well as progress against project deliverables and milestones.
- Effectively communicate and report out across multiple levels of the Organization.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant working knowledge with demonstrated Product Ownership experience developing data and analytics capabilities in an Agile framework
- B.S. or M.S. in Engineering or related field, such as Computer Science, Business, etc.
- Knowledge with Cloud-based data & analytics solutions (AWS preferred)
- Relevant knowledge of Product Management frameworks/methodologies and System Development Life Cycle
- Experience working in a regulated environment
- Influencing skills, with demonstrated ability to set direction and direct/motivate teams
- Ability to read, understand, and execute job functions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures
