Spectrum Health Care is hiring a full time Foot Care Nurse (RN/RPN) as our Foot Care Program Manager for our Peel region to support our staff in Mississauga, Brampton, Caledon, Bolton and Etobicoke.

Job Description

  • Leads a team of Registered Nurses and Registered Practical Nurses to achieve excellence in health care. Motivates, directs and coaches staff to ensure high quality of care consistently meets defined organizational standards
  • Collaborate to address quality, safety and risk management issues, including the development of improvement plans to address shortfall.  Collect and assess key performance indicators for the programs and initiate quality improvement/process changes as required
  • Contribute to the improvement of client outcomes (quality of life and quality of care) based on best available evidence and efficient utilization of resources
  • Lead foot care program development and design of clinical workflows that support new models of care delivery for the target populations, in collaboration with the operations leadership team and system partners
  • Prepares monthly schedule for foot care nurses, understanding available resources for program/service and keeps quality in the forefront of all resource utilization decisions
  • Leads the recruitment and selection of foot care nurses

Qualifications

  • Current CNO certificate as Registered Nurse, degree preferred.
  • Recent experience with progressive responsibilities as a Nursing Manager, preferably in a community setting
  • Experience managing in a unionized environment
  • Solid knowledge of the principles, practices, and methods of community nursing and service delivery to patients as well as program development, implementation and evaluation
  • Valid G driver's license and reliable vehicle
