Job Description

The Marketing Copywriter will advance Spear Education’s brand, products and customer experience through compelling copy that reaches audiences across a variety of digital and print channels. This position will help the Marketing Department continue to create brand awareness with new audiences and elevate Spear’s reputation as providing best-in-class dental education with copy that resonates with target audiences and supports a broad range of projects and work performed with in the office in support of Spear’s goals.

The Marketing Copywriter will work directly with the marketing team to write copy that helps them achieve their goals.

Role Snapshot

  • Under the supervision of the Director of Brand and Communication, develop dynamic, creative, on-brand, and grammatically correct copy for marketing materials such as emails, advertising campaigns, white papers, e-books, websites, newsroom content and other digital mediums that support marketing and communication strategies.
  • Planning and writing compelling marketing messages in a range of voices and styles to reach various audiences and stakeholder groups across all marketing channels and platforms.
  • Draft copy based off needs of marketing managers by collaborating directly with them.
  • Serve as central proofreader for Spear marketing materials.
  • Adhere to and help drive the Spear brand by ensuring brand guidelines and messaging are consistent.
  • Follow outlined process set forth by marketing team
  • Utilize Hubspot to deploy email communications to prospects and members
  • Ensure that communication with other areas of marketing and sales is well documented, up-to-date and accurate
  • Define and propose solutions - explore opportunities to add value to the marketing team
  • Become the expert/owner of assigned marketing projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Marketing or Communication related degree.
  • 5+ years of experience with writing for marketing campaigns including storytelling writing, advertisements, websites, email marketing, and feature writing.
  • 3+ year working within a marketing automation platform (i.e. HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Must have excellent attention to detail and proficiency with written grammar
  • Strong communication skills to provide status updates, roadblocks, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders
