Job Description
Minimum Qualifications:
- 12+ years of experience working in a product development environment
- Minimum 5 years of working experience as Product Owner (Payment Domain) in Core Banking for a minimum of 2 Agile teams
- SEPA payments - Credit transfer, direct debits, Instant payments
- Target2 payments and SWIFT/Cross border payments
- ISO 20022 vs MX. MT-MX migration and ISO 8583 messages
- European Card payment processing (Debit and Credit) - authorization requests and advices
- Clearing houses/ Payment regulatory bodies in Europe.
- Requirements analysis and definition
- Documentation of requirements, roadmaps, and acceptance criteria
- Process flow analysis and documentation
- Process agility experience
- Communicating with technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience in supervising or leading a product owner/business analyst team
- Basic payment processing models.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Product Owner certification (CSPO, PSPO, POPM) preferred
- Experience using Dev Ops, Rally, Jira, or similar tools, preferred
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe) preferred
- Management and planning of requirements and features for optimal team efficiency
- Collaboration with other teams and product owners
- Demonstrated organization, time management and multi-tasking skills
What you will do
- Works collaboratively with Product Manager & Product Owners, Development, and Solutions Architects to analyze and scope common scalable solutions that may benefit the product suites and reduce redundancy
- Works collaboratively with other Product Owners of the organization to facilitate, explore, and decide upon solution alternatives to business problems and examines the cost/benefit analyses of design alternatives while considering the long-term roadmap
- Clearly identify scope of feature collaboratively with other team members, architecture, and development
- Proactively generates relevant ideas for new and improved use of technology, based on knowledge of the business, products and systems, and customers' business needs
- Ensures that the Product Backlog is constantly prioritized to secure delivery of maximum business value
- Works in relevant structures (e.g., Scrum of Scrums) to manage dependencies and set priorities across multiple teams and Backlog items and to maintain alignment to the Release Product vision and roadmap
- Ensures Product Backlog is aligned with various stakeholders including product suite product teams and architecture initiatives
- Create workflow and usage diagrams for multi-system solutions
- Work with architects and technical leads to determine implementation strategies and design
- Direct and ensure the implementation of the solutions follow the correct design and modification required for successful delivery
- Responsible for the supervising of the development readiness tasks for all product owners
- Responsible for the supervising of the acceptance and sign-off tasks for all product owners
- Responsible for the supervising of the product knowledge tasks for all product owners including tasks involving product knowledge, product presentations, product documentation, and training
- Product Knowledge - Becomes a subject matter expert in the relevant product domains. It is expected that the LPO will quickly become an expert in the product from a feature / functionality perspective
- Product Presentations - Acts as product champion and presents designs and released work to the sales teams, marketing teams, training & support personnel and select lead user customers
- Product Documentation – Documents and supports new feature development for internal consumption including release notes and product documentation
- Training - Prepares and conducts internal training sessions for various team members of differing levels and disciplines, including senior management, especially around the requirements definition and process for Platform Services.
