Job Description
- Execute manual testing of .NET web applications using provided test plans, focusing on intranet scenarios in Chrome.
- Design and maintain detailed test cases; raise and track defects with clear, reproducible steps.
- Contribute to test planning by refining scope, exit criteria, and acceptance criteria.
- Write user stories and author/update test plans within an on‑premises Microsoft DevOps environment (Azure DevOps Server).
- (Preferred) Create and maintain automated browser tests using Microsoft Playwright.
- (Highly desirable) Validate and support testing of containerized application deployments.
- Collaborate closely with developers and analysts in the Data Processing & Analytics (TSEED) department to support .NET porting activities.
Qualifications
3–4 years as a tester (junior to mid-level);
Proven experience testing web applications based on structured test plans; strong Chrome/intranet testing familiarity.
Hands-on with Microsoft DevOps (on‑prem) for test cases, user stories, and test plans.
Desirable experience with Microsoft Playwright for browser automation.
Highly desirable understanding of testing containerized applications.
Based in Portsmouth; primarily remote. Mandatory 2‑week onsite onboarding, then ideally 1 onsite day every 1–2 weeks for team connection.
