Job Description

As a FinOps Lead, you will drive impactful change and deliver measurable results. Your role involves not only applying strategic initiatives but also expanding project scopes within cloud financial management, and implementing FinOps strategies, policies, and processes to optimize cloud costs, improve financial visibility, and align cloud spending with business objectives. Your day-to-day tasks will include aligning IT systems and coming up with projects. You’re seen as a mentor for your team who’s always training and coaching to hit milestones and get things done. You can communicate these ambitions with cross-departmental partners, stakeholders and management alike, making organisation-wide collaboration possible.

You’ll have knowledge and experience of the following:

  • Proven experience in a leadership role with a focus on finance, IT, or cloud computing.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms (AWS being the top priority, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with financial management and budgeting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
