Job Description

Overview

The Director of First Impressions serves as the primary point of contact for visitors, guests, and callers at Sonic Automotive’s corporate office. This role is responsible for creating a welcoming and professional experience while managing front desk operations, coordinating visitor access, and supporting administrative activities across the organization. The Director of First Impressions plays a key role in representing the company’s culture and commitment to exceptional customer service.

Job Responsibilities

Reception & Guest Services

  • Answer and manage a multi-line telephone system, determine caller needs, and route calls to the appropriate department.
  • Greet visitors in a timely, professional, and courteous manner.
  • Determine visitor needs and coordinate with the appropriate department for visitor assistance or escort.
  • Deliver a superior guest experience for all visitors to the corporate office

Office Coordination & Administration

  • Oversee the visitor sign-in process and maintain established security procedures
  • Maintain conference room reservation schedules and support meeting coordination efforts
  • Provide information and administrative assistance to internal departments as needed
  • Assist with special projects and other administrative duties as assigned Professional Representation
  • Serve as a positive and professional representative of Sonic Automotive to visitors, vendors, and employees
  • Maintain a welcoming, organized, and professional reception area
  • Support a culture of customer service excellence and teamwork throughout the organization

Qualifications

 

  • Associate degree (AA) or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of one year of receptionist experience in a professional business environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with limited supervision
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Ability to pass pre-employment requirements, including background screening, motor vehicle record review, drug screening, and driver’s license verification

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting corporate office operations
  • Experience coordinating visitor management and front desk security processes
  • Experience supporting multiple departments in a fast-paced environment

Physical Demands
