Job Description
As a Supplier Quality and Reliability engineer, you will be the member of Solidigm's Validation, Quality, and Reliability organization, responsible for addressing supplier related quality events.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible as the key contact between operations, suppliers, and the customer, ensuring that overall specifications, quality/regulatory requirements, and expectations are met for all purchased product.
- Define audits and surveys to ensure that all suppliers are meeting Solidigm business requirements and quality standards.
- Ability to execute supplier audit activities related to both validation and on-going management of quality execution capabilities.
- Supplier Performance Management and Development
- Monitoring, report and support of supplier quality metrics and performance. Responsible for supporting supplier corrective action and continuous improvement activities.
- Support Solidigm managed factories on incoming inspection, problem part resolution through all phases of operations.
- Support alternative supplier selection. Participates in customer-facing supplier quality activities.
- Ensure supplier has proper Quality Management Systems through metrics, auditing, etc.
- Responsible for providing engineering support for all applicable areas of Quality Assurance.
- Primary contact between Solidigm and suppliers. Responsible for supplier periodic supplier feedback.
- Responsible for supplier qualification/disqualification.
- Initiate and follow up on supplier Failure Analysis requests with suppliers.
Qualifications
Required
- BS degree in engineering or related field + 4 years experience semiconductor or relevant industry
- Demonstrated skills in using system based problem solving.
- Demonstrated team and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with component/PCB manufacturing flow.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
Preferred
- Solid understanding of semiconductor device reliability mechanisms, including Electromigration (EM), Time-Dependent Dielectric Breakdown (TDDB), Bias Temperature Instability (NBTI/PBTI), Hot Carrier Injection (HCI), Stress-Induced Voiding (SIV), Junction degradation and latch-up related reliability concerns
- Knowledge of silicon reliability modeling methodologies and lifetime prediction techniques.
- Experience with Weibull / Lognormal analysis, lifetime plotting, and statistical interpretation of reliability data.
- Familiarity with industry-standard reliability models such as Arrhenius, Eyring, Power-Law, Coffin-Manson, etc.
- Ability to assess supplier qualification reports, accelerated life test results, and long-term reliability projections.
- Understanding of JEDEC qualification requirements and semiconductor failure analysis practices.
