About the Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented Director of Commercial Account Management to lead the management of customer relationships and commercial delivery across our power solutions business. This role owns the customer relationship following contract execution, including contract management, cross-functional initiative leadership, full-cycle project management, and relationship expansion for data center operators, hyperscalers, AI infrastructure providers, and other energy-intensive clients. The ideal candidate is a responsible, highly organized professional with meticulous attention to detail and strong client management experience, comfortable working with sophisticated technical stakeholders and committed to seeing commercial commitments through from contract to completion.
Essential Functions
- Serve as the primary commercial point of contact for assigned customer accounts, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with a sophisticated, technical client base.
- Identify and execute on opportunities to strengthen or expand existing customer relationships
- Own contract management for assigned accounts — administration, amendments, renewals, and tracking of obligations — to ensure accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.
- Lead full-cycle project management for commercial initiatives, from contract execution through delivery, commissioning, and ongoing performance, coordinating timelines, deliverables, and internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional initiatives within the commercial team, partnering with Business Development, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Legal to ensure customer commitments are met.
- Monitor account and contract performance with meticulous attention to detail, proactively identifying risks or issues and resolving them before they escalate.
- Maintain accurate account records, status reports, and internal reporting on account health, contract milestones, and project progress.
- Manage customer communications and expectations throughout the life of each contract, ensuring consistent, responsive, and professional service.
Qualifications
Experience/Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in account management, client/customer success, contract management, or project management, ideally within energy, infrastructure, or power sectors
- Demonstrated experience owning contracts end-to-end, including administration, amendments, and renewals
- Proven track record of full-cycle project management, from contract execution through delivery and ongoing account management
- Experience managing relationships with sophisticated, technical stakeholders strongly preferred
- Familiarity with power markets, energy economics, or data center/infrastructure sectors is a plus
- Technical fluency in Excel and presentation tools (e.g., PowerPoint) required; experience with contract management or CRM systems a plus
