Job Description
Project – the aim you’ll have
Our client provides Secure Managed IT Services in the BeNeLux market and is one of the largest providers of digital infrastructure to the government sector in the Netherlands. You will support our partner in handling ongoing customer requests related to Linux-based platforms and IT infrastructure operations, working as part of an international support team.
Position – how you’ll contribute
- Support of IT systems and Linux-based environments
- Monitoring incoming requests and managing ticket queues
- Dispatching incidents and service requests to appropriate resolver teams
- Initial incident analysis and basic troubleshooting
- Supporting access management processes
- Assisting with patch management and system updates
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation
- Supporting senior engineers during ongoing operational tasks and projects
- Collaborating closely with teams located in the Netherlands
- Ensuring proper ticket handling according to SLA and operational procedures
Qualifications
Expectations – the experience you need
- Currently enrolled in a university degree program in Computer Science, IT, Telecommunications, or related field
- Experience working with ticketing systems, dispatching, or queue management processes.
- Basic knowledge of Linux operating systems
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills and willingness to learn
- Ability to work in an international team environment
- English language proficiency (minimum B2)
Additional skills – the edge you have
- Understanding of IT service management concepts (incident, request, escalation)
- Fundamental networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, basic troubleshooting)
- Basic scripting knowledge (Bash or Python)
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Icinga, Zabbix, Nagios)
- First experience with automation or configuration management tools
