Project – the aim you’ll have

Our partner is a dynamic fintech company with an industry-leading software platform for extracting and standardizing accounting data. With operations based in both the UK and the US, our partner maintains a blue-chip client base, primarily consisting of audit firms and financial institutions that utilize the software to gather financial information from their SME clients.

We are seeking an experienced Test Automation Engineer to join one of our teams on this exciting journey. We are in search of an individual who is genuinely passionate about quality and enthusiastic about automation. As a part of our team, you will play an integral role in driving forward our automated testing processes, employing cutting-edge automation testing techniques, and assisting us in advancing our broader automation strategy. Additionally, you will assume a vital responsibility in maintaining our existing automated tests to ensure that our quality standards remain exceptional.

Position – how you’ll contribute

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts to validate software functionality, ensure data integrity, and assess performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to comprehend requirements and transform them into effective test cases.
• Identify automation opportunities within the testing process and implement automation frameworks, tools, and strategies to enhance test efficiency and coverage.
• Conduct thorough regression testing to ensure the stability and reliability of software releases.
• Perform root cause analysis for test failures and closely cooperate with the development team to promptly resolve issues.
• Create and maintain test data, test environments, and test harnesses necessary for automated testing.
• Monitor and analyze test results, recognize trends, and offer recommendations for enhancements to elevate product quality.

Expectations – the experience you need

• Demonstrable experience in developing modern automated test frameworks, such as Playwright, Cypress, Robot Framework, Appium, RestAssured, etc.
• Strong coding skills in TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, Go, or similar languages.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of the fundamentals of software development, encompassing both theoretical and practical aspects.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Capability to work effectively in a cross-team environment.
• You comprehend both manual and automated testing, knowing when to employ each approach.
• Exceptional communication skills, encompassing both verbal and written forms, to foster effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and to stay updated with industry trends in software testing and quality assurance.
