How You’ll Make an Impact

As the Senior Manager | National Lead – Conference Services (12-Month Contract), you will provide leadership and strategic direction for conference service operations across multiple sites in Canada for our client, Deloitte. You will ensure exceptional client experiences, operational excellence, and alignment with Sodexo’s mission and values, while driving initiatives that improve efficiency, profitability, and employee engagement.

As a Senior Manager | National Lead, you will:

  • Lead and supervise conference services staff at all levels, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure high performance and client satisfaction.
  • Oversee conference service operations across multiple sites to maintain consistency, quality, and adherence to contractual agreements.
  • Develop and implement business practices that uphold Sodexo’s mission, values, and service commitments.
  • Drive strategic initiatives and projects with defined objectives, timelines, and budgets to support client and Sodexo goals.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and point of contact for national accounts.
  • Manage budgets, labor, and materials to ensure profitability and sustainability, while monitoring compliance with policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Champion employee engagement, recruitment, retention, and professional development for both Sodexo and client employees.

Qualifications

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Post-secondary degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years in conference services, catering, hospitality, or related environments.
  • 5–7 years of supervisory or management experience, including conference management, staff leadership, and operational oversight.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong client relationship management and service excellence skills.
  • Financial acumen, including budget management and labor oversight.
  • Proficiency in event management and reporting software; familiarity with labor management systems.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  •  Certified Meeting Professional (CMP).
  • Commitment to health and safety.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts when required including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to travel approximately 10-15% across Canada to support multiple sites and client events
