Sodexo offers a competitive salary range between $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 with Extended Benefits offered from day one of your employment.  Sodexo also provides Pension RRSP contribution as well as paid vacation.  Our role also included reimbursement for travel. This role typically supports business hours Monday - Friday with the occasional weekend for special events.

Job Description

In your new role as Campus Rotational Chef, you will provide day to day operational support across our campus sites within the Lower Mainland.  You will be required to support our campus accounts within the Vancouver area as well as our Langley Post Secondary campus.  You may also be required to support our campus on Vancouver Island for catering events, vacation coverage or other special needs. 

Your duties for this role will include:

  • A reliable vehicle is mandatory as you will be travelling between campus locations
  • Oversee food production, food service, menu planning as well as event catering planning
  • Responsible for catering and customer service
  • Direct and coordinate employee activities
  • Meet with guests and clients as the face of the food services department
  • Train kitchen teams
  • Support our robust food and physical safety programs within our sites
  • Follow the various Sodexo programs: Food Safety, Health & Safety, etc.

Qualifications

  • 5 years’ experience in a well-established food service facility & in catering
  • Red Seal certified is mandatory 
  • Proven experience managing high volume Food & Beverage departments
  • Ability to work to high standards, policies, and procedures
  • Must possess strong team building skills: friendly, outgoing, customer service oriented
  • Computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Experience with Human Resources
  • Valid driver’s license and access to vehicle
