Job Description
Senior Village Manager Leadership role overseeing multiple village/town operations under Sodexo's IFMS contract. Drives operational excellence, commercial performance, and client partnership across the portfolio, providing direction to Village Managers and site leadership teams. Accountable for meeting SLAs/KPIs, optimising costs, ensuring compliance, and championing Sodexo's "Clients for Life" approach through strong stakeholder relationships and continuous improvement, working closely with the Regional Manager to identify growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract & Client Management – Acts as Sodexo's primary operational representative, building trusted client relationships, ensuring KPI/SLA compliance, and leading performance reviews with a focus on continuous improvement.
Operational Leadership – Leads Village Managers and site teams to drive safe, efficient, high-standard service delivery within budget, while pursuing growth opportunities and supporting business continuity.
Financial & Commercial Management – Manages labour and operational costs against budget, drives productivity and revenue improvements, and maximises User Pay Services opportunities.
HSEQ – Champions a strong safety culture, ensures compliance with HSEQ systems, leads incident investigations/audits, and closes out corrective actions within required timeframes.
People Leadership & Culture – Coaches and develops teams, supports workforce planning and succession, promotes an inclusive culture, and manages performance/disciplinary processes fairly.
Compliance & Governance – Ensures accurate reporting and record-keeping, and drives accountability for regulatory and contractual compliance across sites.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation – Identifies efficiency and service improvements, tracks industry trends, and fosters a culture of innovation and accountability.
Qualifications
- Experience leading large, geographically dispersed teams in remote site, FM, hospitality, or integrated services environments
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, coach, and develop high-performing teams
- Strong client relationship management and stakeholder engagement
- Sound commercial/financial management skills, including budgeting and cost control
- Thorough understanding of HSEQ systems, risk management, and regulatory compliance
- Strong knowledge of food safety, chemical management, cleaning and hygiene standards
- Excellent communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic operational environment
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, focused on continuous improvement
- Senior Secondary Certificate of Education or equivalent required
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Hospitality, Facilities Management, or Operations Management desirable
