Job Description
Sodexo has a vacant position for an Electrical Compliance Manager to join our team in the Pilbara working on an 5:2 roster on a permanent, fulltime basis, based in Balcatta with ad-hoc site attendance.
The main role of the Electrical Compliance Manager is to ensure that Sodexo’s license to operate is maintained and protected in relation to all relevant electrical standards and adherence to WHS specifically Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022, and Work Health and Safety Act 2020 across all of Sodexo’s IFMS portfolio of assets. All electrical systems are safe to operate and capable of continuous operation. The Electrical Compliance Manager is also the Electrical SME (Subject Matter expert) and point of contact for all the IFMS Departments across the Regions.
The Electrical Compliance Manager assists with third party design concepts/proposals, identifies possible short-falls, and produces reports outlining risks, and minimum standards to meet electrical statutory, health, safety, environmental, business, and client requirements.
The Electrical Compliance Manager is also expected to have the necessary qualifications to hold a WA Electrical Nominees License on the Sodexo IFMS Electrical License. In respect to Regulation 36. And Schedule 26 appointments time basis.
Qualifications
- Trade qualification as an electrician; supported by current A grade Electrical License.
- Electrical contractors license or nominee qualification
- S26 accreditation
- Occupational Health and Safety Certificate
- Strong safety awareness and hazard consciousness
- Previous experience as an Electrical Mechanic working across a range of areas including, but not limited to, commercial construction sites, mine sites and breakdown maintenance
- Strong communication skills
- Technical knowledge of hard FM services
- Sound Knowledge of Current Australian Standards, Rules and Regulations
- Ability to perform well under pressure and with competing priorities.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and oral
- Excellent problem-solving skills, coordination, and time management skills
- Positive “can do” attitude, self-motivated and customer focused.
