The Role
The Human Resources Advisor, reporting to the Head of Advisory and People Services, is responsible for delivering high‑quality, solutions‑focused HR advice to Operational Leaders. This role supports the development of capable people leaders and contributes to a high‑performance culture across the Sodexo workforce. The Advisor will champion Sodexo’s Just Culture principles while helping mitigate business risk and strengthen organisational capability.
- Provide timely, accurate HR advice that supports effective decision‑making and aligns with Sodexo’s Just Culture and performance expectations.
- Coach and guide managers through disciplinary processes, ensuring all actions comply with legislative requirements and internal procedures.
- Partner with leaders to identify, recommend, and implement practical solutions to HR and people‑management challenges.
- Ensure consistent application of Sodexo HR policies, procedures, contracts, and industrial instruments across all sites within the segment.
- Respond to employee queries regarding policies, procedures, contracts, and remuneration.
- Design, deliver, and facilitate internal workshops and training sessions to build leadership capability (e.g., performance reviews, exit interviews).
- Analyse monthly HR reports, identify trends, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Undertake additional duties as required by the Manager.
About you
- Minimum 4 years’ HR experience, with strong knowledge of employee relations.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective stakeholder relationships across diverse workforce groups, ideally within a large national organisation.
- Proven capability in interpreting and explaining HR policies, procedures, and contractual documentation to managers.
- Demonstrated willingness to learn, adapt, and apply feedback proactively.
- Labour and Employment Law — Intermediate
- Microsoft Office Suite — Intermediate
- SAP SuccessFactors — Intermediate
- Grievance and Arbitration Processes
Qualifications
Education
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline.
