Job Description
Sodexo has an opportunity for a HSE Director to join our team based out of our Balcatta office.
This is an opportunity to join a global leader in on-site service delivery. A background in facilities and/or food safety will be highly regarded.
The HSE Director will play a crucial role in shaping and executing our HSE strategy, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility. You will work closely with senior management and various departments to develop and implement effective HSE policies and programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development: Lead the development and implementation of the company's HSE strategy, policies, and procedures to meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Training and Development: Develop and deliver HSE training programs for employees at all levels, fostering a culture of safety and environmental awareness.
- Incident Management: Oversee investigation of incidents, accidents, and near misses, providing recommendations for prevention and ensuring proper reporting and documentation.
- Reporting: Prepare and present HSE performance reports to senior management, including metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives in HSE practices and procedures, staying abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the HSE team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
Qualifications
- National HSE qualification to degree level or equivalent
- Food Safety Qualification
