The Operation Manager - Offshore is responsible for Sodexo's Offshore Energy Portfolio ensuring the effective commercial management of all aspects of Sodexo operations are inline with the agreements and agreed KPI’s. This role is responsible for the management of client and stakeholder relationships to achieve and maintain the highest achievable quality and meet the scope of works within budget.
Key Accountabilities Include:
Core Business
- Overall management of business activities on all site contained in your operational portfolio.
- Accountable for Sodexo logistics and supply of goods from distribution centres in a timely, safe and cost effective manner.
- Ensuring cleaning processes and standards are benchmarked and comply with contractual terms and company standards.
- Control and security of all company goods, chattels, equipment and money in line with Sodexo cash handling policy.
- Development of strong working relationships and a professional and ethical attitude with all employee and client contracts associated with the business.
- Sound understanding of IR/HR principles and knowledge of industrial agreements.
- Contribute to an overall improvement in safety through safety walks or similar - reduce incidents and accidents and achieve a zero-accident culture and mindset.

Safety, Health and Environmental Performance
- Commitment to and promotion of Food Safety and OHSE legislation requirements and implementation of Food Safety Program, SHE Manual, Environmental Management System and Cleaning and Sanitizing Manual in all remote sites.
- Ensure the Sodexo requirements are understood and complied with at all times within our operations.
- Promotion of the Sodexo Reward and Recognition Program for excellence in SHE management and the driving of continuous improvement and innovation for improvement in this area.
- Ensure Sodexo and client risk control strategies are implemented to reduce workplace hazards in all areas of business including hazard identification, risk assessment, compliance with safe systems of work (JSA’s) Toolbox Talks, site safety meetings, food safety and SHE audits.
- Ensure accountability for injury management strategies into all areas of business in line with SEQ strategy and injury management procedures.
- Ensuring that all personnel are scheduled for and complete training as per the Sodexo training matrix and delivery of training packages as appropriate in line with company policy and legislative requirements.
- Ensure all employees use PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and wear appropriate clothing and footwear as per Sodexo requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Sodexo guidelines in regard to reporting and investigation of incidents.
Financial and Sales Performance
- Ensure operational budgets and KPI’s are met or exceeded.
- Make certain your site Project Managers are made aware and are fully conversant with all food and labour budgets.
- Establish and maintain timely reporting to Head Office with all site summaries/paper work, banking details and operational reports as requested by your manager.
- You must sign off on all billing pertaining to your sites on a monthly basis.
- Check all site P&Ls in your portfolio prior to monthly financials being closed off.
Staff Management and Industrial Relations
- Ensure adequate rostering requirements as per agreed manning levels as required.
- Follow HR Policy and Procedures as per Sodexo HR Manual.
- Conduct annual Performance Reviews of direct reports and mentor them on an ongoing basis.
- Ensure familiarization with on site industrial agreement and ensure compliance with terms and conditions of this agreement.
Qualifications
A proven track record in managing multi-disciplinary teams across a multi-site operation environment, demonstrating a high commitment to service excellence.
