The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) plays a key role in driving the successful commercialization within an assigned geographic area.

Reporting to the Business Unit Director, Metabolic Diseases, the RSM is responsible for delivering regional sales performance, leading and developing a high-performing field team, and ensuring excellence in customer engagement and account execution. The role translates national strategy into local action, builds strong relationships with key stakeholders, and ensures patients have timely access to innovative therapies.

The RSM acts as a role model for Sobi’s values and fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer focus, and continuous improvement.

    Job Description

    Regional Leadership & Performance Management

    • Deliver regional sales, activity, and business objectives aligned with national goals.
    • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Key Account Managers.
    • Monitor individual and team performance through clear objectives, KPIs, and development plans.
    • Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and collaboration.
    • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and talent development initiatives.

     

    Field Force Excellence & Execution

    • Ensure effective execution of regional commercial plans and promotional activities.
    • Conduct regular field coaching visits to strengthen selling skills, account management, and customer engagement.
    • Monitor territory performance through CRM, dashboards, and business analytics.
    • Identify opportunities and implement corrective actions to maximize business outcomes.
    • Drive excellence in account planning, targeting, segmentation, and omnichannel execution.

     

    Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

    • Develop strong relationships with key healthcare professionals, treatment centres, and relevant stakeholders within the region.
    • Support strategic customer engagements and help remove barriers to patient access.
    • Ensure customer insights are systematically captured and translated into action.
    • Promote a consistent scientific, patient-centric, and value-based dialogue.

     

    Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Medical Affairs, PACE, Commercial Excellence and other teams.
    • Provide market insights, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback to support business planning.
    • Contribute to national business reviews, forecasting cycles, and launch execution initiatives.
    • Ensure alignment and coordination of local activities with national strategic priorities

      Qualifications

      Required

      • University degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, or related field.
      • Proven track record in pharmaceutical/biotech sales leadership, within Specialty Care.
      • Demonstrated experience leading and developing field‑based commercial teams with strong coaching capability.
      • Strong business acumen, analytical and strategic skills—ability to translate data (market data, Veeva insights, competitive intelligence) into concrete commercial plans.
      • Excellent stakeholder‑management skills and ability to collaborate cross‑functionally with medical, marketing, and patient access teams.
      • Proven commercial leadership with successful product launches
      • Good command in english

       

      Desired

      • Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent).
      • Experience launching specialty medicines in complex payer and provider environments.
      • Familiarity with high‑science or multispecialty therapy pathways
