Job Description

The Associate Director Global Medical Affairs, will function as global medical lead for hematology, to build and execute the medical plan as well as support the necessary cross-functional launch preparations and lead Sobi toward the successful lifecycle management of our hematology medicines, while adhering to the highest scientific and ethical standards.

Key Responsabilities

  • Support the MPL (Hematology) to build and execute global medical strategy/plans, including the following deliverables
  • Build and execute global medical strategy/plan and tactical plan
  • Manage engagement of global KOLs in the field
  • Co-leading evidence generation workshops
  • Review and answer any Medical Information questions, as needed
  • Support development of reactive slides decks for external use on relevant data
  • Input to clinical studies in phase 3-4
  • Support scientific communications with internal cross functional colleagues
  • Facilitate and support external and internal training and training material
  • Give scientific input to external and internal scientific publications
  • Support to cross-functional projects
  • Provide scientific input, review and approval to the development of promotional material driven by the commercial team

To be successful in these activities, the Associate Director Global Medical Affairs Hematology:

  • Will possess and continue to develop a deep understanding and knowledge on PNH, ITP and aplastic anaemia and related haematology therapeutic areas
  • Will develop productive relationships and contributions with key external stakeholders
  • Will develop productive relationships and contributions within the cross-functional headquarter team, as well as with local affiliate offices, and collaborative partners
  • Will role model the highest scientific and ethical standards, and work in accordance with applicable rules and regulations with regards medical activities

Qualifications

  • Medical degree (MD) or PhD required
  • Experience within the Hematology therapeutic area is highly desired
  • Global launch experience is desirable
  • Experience and ability to engage with key external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to build and execute strategic and tactical medical plans
  • Relevant experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry (e.g., Medical Affairs/Scientific Communications/Clinical or Preclinical Sciences etc.) > 5 years preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately and effectively evaluate and analyze medical/scientific data and literature, and demonstrated presentation and communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
