Job Description
Duties:
- Solve highly complex technical problems and deliver innovative, scalable, maintainable solutions by implementing architectural patterns and design standards with minimal supervision.
- Champion efficient software development methodologies aligned with Agile and Lean principles, contributing hands-on to development, design, code review, and optimisation of critical software components.
- Drive adoption of DevOps practices, CI/CD platforms, and automation toolchains whilst embedding security, reliability, scalability, and performance considerations into architecture and development processes.
- Promote and enforce secure coding practices and integration of security controls throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), leveraging modern platforms, frameworks, and open-source technologies.
- Demonstrate deep expertise in modern technologies including Angular, Java, Spring Boot, Python, Golang, Docker, and Kubernetes, optimising cost and flexibility through open standards.
- Serve as a technical bridge between engineering, operations, QA, and other teams to design efficient testing strategies, enable seamless deliveries, and foster continuous learning and collaboration.
- Embed observability, monitoring, logging, and reliability engineering practices into development processes as non-negotiable quality attributes.

Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 4+ years' proven experience in software development.
Technical Expertise:
- Strong proficiency in Angular (v10+), Java, Spring Boot, Python, and Golang.
- Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern UI frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with testing frameworks (Jasmine, Jest, Karma, JUnit, PyTest, Testify).
- Experience with micro front-end architecture, responsive UI development, and web components.
- Strong expertise in API design, gRPC, RESTful services, and scalable web applications.
- Practical experience with microservices, domain-driven design, and distributed systems.
- Proficiency with PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Proven experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automated build processes.
- Strong understanding of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Advanced knowledge of Linux, networking, scripting, and performance troubleshooting.
- Solid understanding of observability, monitoring, logging, and reliability engineering practices.
- Knowledge of secure coding standards and application security practices.
- Experience with Agile methodologies, JIRA, and Git-based version control.
- Familiarity with AI-powered development tools and test-driven development practices.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Grafana and UML design modelling techniques.
- Knowledge of event-driven systems, real-time data processing, and ML/AI platforms.
- Exposure to UX/UI design principles.
