Job Opportunity

  • Opportunity for a commercially astute Service Commercial Manager to lead a complex portfolio of long-term service and maintenance contracts across the Asia-Pacific region.
  • Ideal for an independent, commercially minded professional who thrives in managing long-term product service contracts and driving profitability in a dynamic, matrixed environment.
  • Play a pivotal role in maximising contract performance, strengthening customer relationships, and delivering sustainable growth.

What you will be doing

  • Own and manage a portfolio of service contracts, ensuring strong understanding of terms, pricing, and commercial structures
  • Monitor and analyse contract performance (revenue, margin, cash flow, SLA adherence) against established KPIs
  • Identify and drive opportunities for revenue growth and margin improvement (renewals, upselling, variations)
  • Lead contract reviews with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and performance delivery
  • Manage commercial mechanisms including pricing adjustments, reconciliations, and service credit calculations
  • Drive asset-to-contract alignment and minimise revenue leakage (e.g., spare parts)
  • Proactively manage risks and implement mitigation strategies across the contract portfolio
  • Support sales teams with contract negotiations, drafting, and revisions within financial and legal frameworks
  • Develop forecasts, demand planning models, and maintain accurate installed base data
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost optimisation, profitability, and cash management
  • Ensure contractual obligations are effectively cascaded across internal teams and external partners
  • Contribute to the evolution of contract templates and service offerings

Qualifications

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience managing large-scale commercial/service contract portfolios in complex environments
  • Strong background in long-term product service or aftermarket contracts (B2B/B2G preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience managing contracts with significant value (multi-million portfolios) and delivering margin improvement
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen including cost management, pricing, and forecasting
  • Solid understanding of contract law, negotiation, and drafting principles
  • Experience influencing stakeholders within matrix organisations
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk management capabilities
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP or similar)
  • Ability to work independently with a proactive, results-driven mindset
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Nice to have:

  • Degree in Engineering, Finance, Law, or related field
  • Experience in engineered products, industrial, or technical service environments
  • Background in project/programme or change management
  • Exposure to regional (APAC) contract management environments
  • Experience contributing to service innovation and commercial strategy development
