Responsibilities/Duties 职责/权限:
- Participation in all Smiths Interconnect EHS programs, policies, procedures and training requirements
- Define, monitor, analyze and continuously improve the supplier quality performance of the business unit both externally and internally through Performance Excellence activities.
- Develop improvement plans utilizing DMAIC/LEAN methodologies and guide actions to drive improvement in Supplier’s KPIs (key performance indicators) and Supplier process capability
- Coach, council, and mentor site level and business unit team, enabling supplier quality system and supplier management and goal improvements.
- Lead continuous improvement in Supplier’s sites using Lean and Six Sigma methods. Lead and mentor teams in problem solving and root cause identification efforts.
- Work with Global Quality Team to identify and implement global best practice.
- Manage PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans and other documentation submission for Global Strategic Suppliers.
- Assist in new product and process qualification for both product performance and manufacturability throughout the New Product Integration process.
- Experience in new product development initiatives and design reviews (good understanding of manufacturing processes, molding, plating, tooling and/or screw machining is desirable)
- Participants in Change Management Review (EN, EICN) Process requirements are fully identified and validated.
- Completes any additional assignments as requested by department supervisor
- Maintenance of Quality management system

Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 技术知识,技能及能力:
- 8+ years Quality / Operations / Engineering experience in engineering or management role in a world-class manufacturing setting, with demonstrated success in both quality leadership and business process excellence.
- Experience and demonstrated performance in related Engineering or Quality field in a manufacturing setting in Semi product desired.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and in team settings achieving objectives through influence.
- Knowledgeable and demonstrated experience in the application of Lean and Six Sigma (or other Advanced Problem-Solving methodology)
- Knowledgeable and demonstrated experience in quality management tools, such as; value stream mapping, capability studies, MSA, SPC, control plans, FMEA, Kaizen, 5S, SMED, root cause analysis tools, corrective action tools, VOC, QFD, error proofing, robust design and cause and effect diagrams.
- Must have solid understanding of QMS Processes. Additionally, ISO 9000 is preferred.
- Experience preparing and auditing customer qualifications such as FAIRs, FARS, PPAP, etc.
- Proven capability to lead large cross functional, global teams in problem solving, process improvements, and solution implementation.
- Possess the interpersonal skills required to be effective in influencing at all levels of a geographically distributed multi-site business.
- Experience and familiarity with Performance / Process Excellence and Built In Quality models is highly desirable,
- Experienced in working in Design area with Design Teams is highly desirable.
- Experience in supplier development is highly desirable.
- Formal Lean and 6-sigma certifications are highly desirable.
- Understanding and application of business analytics is highly desirable.
- Reliability Engineering tool knowledge is highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in quality or Technical Discipline (i.e. IE, EE, ME, QE).
- Additional certifications such as GB/BB, CQE, CQM, and / or ISO Lead Auditor are highly desirable.
- Bilingual preferences: English should be highlighted on resume.
- Process Auditing (Preferred)
- Lead Internal ISO 9001 Auditor (Preferred)
- Formal problem solving (i.e. Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
- Travel %: Travel for this role is expected to be up to 40% (Ability to travel internationally is required).
