Job Description
Purpose of Role
Lead Reliability Engineering activities to execute the project and improve the reliability of John Crane mechanical seals at the customer site under the Managed Reliability Program (MRP) contract.
Key Activities
1. Adhere to Smiths and John Crane business policies and values.
2. Adhere to Republic of Indonesia’s and customer law and regulations.
3. Adhere to Quality Management System.
4. Adhere to Health, Safety and Environment procedures and regulations.
5. Actively participate and contribute in QHSE programs and initiatives, including but not limited to:
5.1 Comply with Safe Working Practices.
5.2 Report any hazardous condition, unsafe action, incident, and accident.
5.3 Comply with applicable Global Standard Operating Procedures.
5.4 Maintain health and safe working environment.
5.5 Participate in 5S and Continues Improvement/Kaizen.
6. Manage Reliability Program (MRP) to improve equipment reliability and report to Reliability Supervisor, the Major Key Performance Indicator’s for the Project are as follows:
6.1 MTBF Target as per Contract.
6.2 Bad Actor Count Reductions
6.3 Seal Conversion/ Competitor Seal Repair.
6.4 On Target Repair Lead Time.
7. Manage/Perform routine equipment inspections to ensure optimal asset condition.
8. Implement the Sealing Water Savings Program for water efficiency improvement.
9. Utilize ServiceMax for digital data management and reporting.
10. Manage failed seals, including analysis and corrective actions coordinate with Service engineer
11 Conduct seal conversions and upgrades to enhance performance and reliability.
12 Oversee inventory management of seals and spare parts and aligned stock digitally through ServiceMax.
13 Perform diagnostics using Motion Amplification Camera technology.
14 Manage and perform route cause and failure analysis with customer's team and Crate RCFA report with comprehensive data.
15 Prepare and present a monthly report with comprehensive data to customer
16 Create an Activation Work Order (SM01) through the SAP System,
17 Involves creating a Refurbishment/Recon Work Order (PM04) through the SAP System
18 The Reliability Engineer will generate the Refurbishment Order and liaise with the Procurement team for the delivery of required parts.
19 Seal Inventory Report
20 Utilized digital application "iProjects", John Crane Global ERP Tool; PDM-Net
21 Site Support; The Reliability Engineer will support the following site/shop activities:
- Witnessing of seal installation at workshop/site
- Witnessing of Pressure Testing of pump assembly
- Seal system flushing and pressurization
- Re-commissioning of the equipment/seal system
- Equipment Test Run/Troubleshooting
- Facilitate joint inspections upon request of customer for seal failures
22 Site Walkabout: Site walkabouts support reliability initiatives by improving site familiarity and identifying early seal failure signs. Findings and observations are shared with stakeholders, including recommendations when applicable.
Key Responsibilities
•Lead and supervise the execution of the Managed Reliability Program (MRP).
•Drive overall equipment reliability improvement and seal performance.
•Provide technical leadership and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ hands on experience in mechanical maintenance (rotating) / mechanical fitter / millwright.
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Sound knowledge of rotating and process equipment, knowledge of mechanical seals is preferred.
- Good oral and written communication skill
- Basic English (minimum read and write)
