STS Aerospace in Laconia, NH is searching for a Configuration Engineer to join the team. Through interpretation of customer requirements, develops, plans, and implements design solutions via engineering analysis, product capability, manufacturing knowledge, and engineering processes. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and with reasonable accommodation when necessary.
Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include: Other duties may be assigned.
- Collaboratively works with internal teams in pursuit of new business opportunities. Across all value streams, knowledgeable in product application and configuration, design solutions, tooling, and cost estimates.
- Execute technical tasks associated with the engineering release process including but not limited to, requirements management, product configuration, test protocol, technical documentation, and contract review deliverables.
- Interacts with internal and external customers agents to address and resolve part configuration, change management, and change implementation throughout the entire product life cycle.
- Reviews and checks engineering calculations, design models, drawings, and design documents for technical content, errors, notes, accuracy, functionality, and completion.
- Supports continuous improvement initiatives and completion of implementation activities.
- May represent the company on industry committees and accompanying duties.
- Must be coachable, goal orientated, self-starter, and excel independently or in a collaborative environment.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
