STS Aerospace in Laconia, NH is searching for a Backlog Analyst to join the team. This positions provides analytical and strategic support across demand forecasting, backlog accuracy, and customer schedule alignment. The Backlog Analyst integrates internal data with external market trends to improve forecasting, identify risks early, and support consistent, contract‑aligned delivery performance across the business.

Job Description

Backlog Accuracy & Integrity

  • Audit and maintain backlog accuracy in alignment with quotes, contracts, and customer schedules.
  • Identify and correct outdated, terminated, returned, or misaligned orders.
  • Partner with the team to ensure backlog data is current, correct, and contract‑compliant.

Forecasting, Trend Analysis & Market Intelligence

  • Monitor industry trends, pricing changes, and customer buying patterns, translating insights into forecasting and planning recommendations.
  • Use market intelligence, PFEP, and backlog indicators to anticipate demand shifts and identify risks early.
  • Lead, schedule, and facilitate PFEP meetings with cross functional teams.
  • Identify discrepancies between customer pull‑ins/push‑outs and contractual requirements.

Reporting & Presentations

  • Produce ad hoc reports for Leadership and cross functional teams.
  • Create clear PowerPoint presentations on revenue, demand, market trends, and backlog performance.
  • Maintain recurring dashboards and reporting tools.

Tools, Automation & OMS Enablement

  • Partner with the team to identify data gaps and streamline exception detection.
  • Build tools, trackers, and dashboards that reduce manual investigation work.
  • Improve workflows using ERP and contract data to enhance team efficiency.

Consistently, regularly and predictably at work and on time. 

Other duties may be assigned as needed. 

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in data analysis, statistical analysis desired.

Experience: All experience acceptable

Other Skills: Must have ability to see larger picture and connect dots
