STS Aerospace in Laconia, NH is searching for a Lab Test Technician to join the team. This position is responsible for performing a variety of routine and non-routine testing of aerospace fluid conveyance products. Records test data and provides results to quality assurance and engineering teams in a timely and accurate manner. Assists technical teams with recommendations to resolve testing problems, roadblocks or equipment malfunctions that impact the performance or validity of testing. Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct inspections on test pieces to ensure compliance with quality standards, applicable aerospace/military specifications, test requests, and/or customer requests.
Perform testing to the highest level of quality standards, proficiency, and accuracy in accordance with standard operating procedures and/or engineering direction.
Responsible for all aspects of the test set-up, test operation, data collection (written or electronic format), documentation, test breakdown, and test sample disposition.
Verifies test equipment is calibrated and working properly. Advises when calibration is approaching calibration due date or is past due date. Removes from service equipment that is past calibration due date.
Conduct all testing under the supervision of qualified technicians until training is completed and signed off. May work without supervision on tasks that are already completed.
Strict adherence to safety procedures, practices, and policies.
Maintains a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
Other duties as assigned by Senior Technicians, Laboratory Supervisor, Test Engineer, or equivalent lab personnel.

Education: High School Diploma or GED. College or vocational school coursework preferred, or combination of education and experience. Military experience.
Experience:
- Mechanical Aptitude and basic computer skills required.
- Experience with MS Office (excel, word, and access).
- Prior use with mechanical tools.
- Experience with reading and interpreting technical documents, such as blueprints, product manuals, equipment manuals, operating manuals, or equivalent, is preferred.
- Mathematical skills. Ability to calculate mathematical formulas including but not limited to, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
