Job Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Quality Inspector to join our team in Salisbury, United States. In this role, you'll play a critical part in maintaining our commitment to excellence by ensuring that all products meet our rigorous quality standards and specifications. As a Quality Inspector, you'll work collaboratively with engineering, production, and management teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement while upholding the highest levels of product quality and customer satisfaction.

  • Measure and verify angular dimensions, radii, contours, clearances, threads, wall thickness, and other product characteristics according to established inspection plans and engineering drawings
  • Operate and maintain precision measuring instruments and gauges, including calipers, micrometers, and specialized testing equipment
  • Verify that all gauges and measuring instruments conform to calibration intervals and maintain accurate calibration records
  • Inspect products at specified stages throughout the production process to identify defects or deviations from quality standards
  • Test units for proper fit and function of moving parts, mechanical assemblies, electrical components, and coating integrity
  • Analyze engineering drawings and collaborate with management and engineering staff to understand and confirm quality requirements
  • Document inspection findings accurately and report both conformances and non-conformances to engineering and management teams
  • Identify and communicate changes to existing quality or production procedures that could enhance product quality and operational efficiency
  • Maintain organized and detailed inspection records to support traceability and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Demonstrate consistent reliability and punctuality in meeting production inspection schedules
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational goals and team needs

Qualifications

Must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident to work in this facility

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2-3 years of quality inspection within a manufacturing facility
  • Solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Experience with CMM Programming and Operating Systems
  • Experience with receiving and inspection of parts from manufactures 
  • Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and gauges (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, etc.)
  • Strong ability to read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Solid understanding of quality assurance processes and production procedures
  • Knowledge of quality standards and best practices (ISO standards preferred)
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate findings clearly in written and verbal formats
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in quality inspection or related field
  • Certification in IPC/J Standards
  • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC)
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and recommend process improvements
