Job Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Quality Engineer to join our team in Salisbury, MD, United States. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in ensuring that our products and processes meet the highest quality standards. You'll work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement, implement quality initiatives, and maintain our commitment to excellence.   • Monitor supplier quality of incoming materials and analyze customer feedback to resolve quality issues.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and documentation to support consistent product excellence
  • Analyze quality data and performance metrics to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement using statistical analysis and SPC methodologies
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve customer quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Prepare detailed quality reports, statistical analyses, and performance dashboards to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Support the continuous improvement process by leading or participating in quality initiatives and process optimization projects
  • Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with AS9100 and other relevant quality management system requirements
  • Participate in new product development and process validation activities, including PPAP documentation and approval workflows
  • Maintain organized quality records and documentation systems to ensure traceability and regulatory compliance
  • Mentor and support team members on quality best practices and foster a culture of quality awareness across the organization

Qualifications

All candidates must be US Citizens or Permanent Residents

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Quality Engineering
  • Proficiency with MS Excel (advanced level), Outlook, and Word for data analysis and reporting
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and quality specifications
  • Knowledge of measurement techniques, inspection procedures, and quality control testing methodologies
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Solid understanding of quality management systems (QMS), particularly AS9001
  • Familiarity with quality methodologies including 8D problem-solving, PPAP, and root cause analysis
  • Proficiency with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems at a user level (preferred)
  • Internal auditor or quality auditor certification (preferred)
  • Excellent analytical and statistical thinking skills with strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to organize complex information and manage multiple priorities efficiently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly to diverse audiences
  • Communicative proficiency in English
  • Problem-solving mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation
  • Collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams in a supportive and inclusive environment
  • Valid driver's license (preferred for potential facility visits or supplier audits)
