Job Description

Provide strategic & execution support in all areas of people management & development with focus on various HR responsibilities including business partnering, talent development & retention.

The role will be responsible for supporting & coordinating a wide variety of HR activities including resourcing, onboarding, employee relations, talent management and development, early careers, legal matters of the site, performance management, policy procedure interpretation, and employee recognition. The role ensures that HR practices are aligned with the organization's goals and legal requirements while fostering a positive work environment.

As part of the India HR Team, the HR Manager will also be responsible for projects as defined in the Divisional HR Strategy & Smiths India HR Strategy.

What you’ll do

  • Working with the HR Director India, Site HRs, Talent Acquisition team, Rewards Teams and to review and build organisational capability, develop existing talent and identify potential talent, within Division and externally.
  • Provide support operational support to drive critical HR projects
  • Actively pursue retention initiatives
  • Working as a key driver and facilitator of change throughout the business, including the Divisional Shared Services & Digital Hub organizations in India.
  • Maintain strategic workforce plan for the growth of India
  • Support interna and external audits
  • Develop and sustain relationships with executives and key stakeholders in the business.  Coordinate and collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence, HR Service Centers and local HR teams, as applicable, to ensure delivery on all strategic plans.
  • Provide expertise in change management and drive the new organisational model.
  • Working with the Site Leadership teams to help them engage employees, address people issue and continually raise the performance bar.
  • Partner and focus on supporting the Division’s Talent Management Process.
  • Drive the reward agenda within their area of responsibility and put in place appropriate reward structures, as part of the Divisions Reward Philosophy.
  • Responsible to build constructive relationships between all stakeholders both internally and externally (government bodies, other industrial bodies and external parties as maybe necessary).
  • Ensure Service Partners & Contractors are complying with all statutory regulations and partner and support the Service Leadership Team in the country on the same.
  • Responsible to ensure the division complies with all Labour Laws and its implications for each of our offices and/or establishments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (HR Masters or MBA with HR specialization highly preferred)
  • 10-12 years of progressively responsible HR experience
  • Related manufacturing industry experience preferred
  • Successful track record as an HR generalist with involvement in organization design and development, employee resourcing/ talent acquisition, change management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, employment, and employee training and development
  • Compliance understanding is must
  • Preferred experience working with global and/or highly matrixed organizations and teams
  • Strategic design/ change management experience
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing change initiatives
  • Excellent coaching, consulting and facilitation skills
