Job Description
- Review & processing of technical inquiries
- Following standard techniques and procedures, selection / application of standard products to meet customers' needs, including fluid sealing systems and fluid control products
- Generation of engineering proposals and specifications for standard or special products
- Basic engineering calculations (including leakage calculations, heat generation, equilibrium temperatures, etc.)
- Basic use of FEA and similar tools for simple design analysis
- Basic fluid control calculations as required
- Basic engineering calculations as required
- Provide basic applications guidance to CAD Engineers to complete assembly and detail drawings
- Basic field troubleshooting, including analysis of problems / recommendation & implementation of appropriate solutions
- Basic failure analysis activities, including investigation / reporting / resolution
- Generate and process engineering document revisions
- Provide manufacturing support reviewing deviation requests, bill-of-material structure inquiries, and technical clarifications as needed
- Along with other team members, promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement
- Execute a capstone project with final prestation to senior management and key stakeholders
Qualifications
- Ability to adjust to varying priorities and projects
- Competent in Microsoft suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- CAD Skills preferred (Solid Edge)
- FEA Skills preferred (Ansys)
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to present content effectively to all levels of employees, management, and vendors
