Job Description

  1. Review & processing of technical inquiries
  2. Following standard techniques and procedures, selection / application of standard products to meet customers' needs, including fluid sealing systems and fluid control products
  3. Generation of engineering proposals and specifications for standard or special products
  4. Basic engineering calculations (including leakage calculations, heat generation, equilibrium temperatures, etc.)
  5. Basic use of FEA and similar tools for simple design analysis
  6. Basic fluid control calculations as required
  7. Basic engineering calculations as required
  8. Provide basic applications guidance to CAD Engineers to complete assembly and detail drawings
  9. Basic field troubleshooting, including analysis of problems / recommendation & implementation of appropriate solutions
  10. Basic failure analysis activities, including investigation / reporting / resolution
  11. Generate and process engineering document revisions
  12. Provide manufacturing support reviewing deviation requests, bill-of-material structure inquiries, and technical clarifications as needed
  13. Along with other team members, promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement
  14. Execute a capstone project with final prestation to senior management and key stakeholders

Qualifications

  1. Ability to adjust to varying priorities and projects
  2. Competent in Microsoft suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  3. CAD Skills preferred (Solid Edge)
  4. FEA Skills preferred (Ansys)
  5. Strong mechanical aptitude
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  7. Ability to present content effectively to all levels of employees, management, and vendors

*Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance (approximately an hour) to effectively support job responsibilities.
