Job Description

The Shipping/Receiving Coordinator for the day to day packing/shipping/receiving activities.  This person will be responsible for maintaining shipping/receiving records.

Responsibilities:

  • He/She will prepare shipments and will check items for accuracy, ensuring there is no damage prior to packaging.  This position will be responsible for the packaging, labeling and paperwork associated with shipments. They are responsible for making arrangements for shipment pick-up and delivery, when necessary.  This person must be able to process shipments in our system and work with UPS/FedEx manager online.  Previous experience shipping both domestic and international required, as well as, experience generating customs/compliance documents.
  • This person will also be responsible for the receiving activities.  They will verify accuracy of items received (i.e., part/PO number, quantity, etc.) and will process the receipts in our system.
  • During down time, this person may be asked, by their supervisor, to assist with other warehouse activities.
  • The Shipping/Receiving Clerk interacts with multiple departments and is expected act in a professional manner.

Qualifications

Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Minimum 1 year domestic and international shipping experience
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Must be detailed oriented
  • Must be able to use Microsoft Outlook and Excel.  Experience/familiarity with Epicor would be a plus.
  • Some light lifting (up to 25 lbs)

Travel %: 0-10%
