Job Description
The Distribution Associate Manager works in close support of the Distribution Manager, contributing to the execution and follow-up of distribution strategies across assigned channels and territories.
While the Distribution Manager leads the overall distribution strategy, the Associate Manager focuses on operational support. Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring effective implementation of distribution plans and smooth coordination with distributors
- Maintaining consistent product availability in the market
- Monitoring field execution and ensuring commercial actions are properly deployed
- Tracking key performance indicators, including volumes, coverage, and sell-out performance
- Supporting reporting activities and maintaining strong relationships with distribution partners
- Reinforcing network efficiency and driving market penetration in line with Sika Sénégal's objectives
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field
3–5 years of experience in sales, distribution, or channel management, preferably in the construction or industrial sector
Strong understanding of distribution networks, dealer management, and route-to-market strategies
Demonstrated ability to monitor KPIs (sales volume, coverage, sell-out performance) and drive improvements
Excellent communication and relationship management skills with distributors and cross-functional teams
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and reporting tools
Fluent in English and French (written and spoken)
Result-oriented and proactive with strong field execution capabilities in a dynamic environment
