Job Description
**Broad Function and Purpose of Position:**
This position is responsible for planning, directing, and managing all technical resources for the Lyndhurst facility, including building, infrastructure, and equipment. The role oversees capital budget projects, maintenance operations, and supervises Engineering and Maintenance departments.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve a preventive maintenance system; monitor effectiveness and optimize overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
- Manage and supervise the Maintenance Department workforce, including Shift Mechanics and Instrument and Control Technicians; optimize labor and materials utilization
- Lead capital investment projects and major facility initiatives from planning through execution, ensuring alignment with project scope, timeline, and budget parameters
- Train and guide manufacturing teams to ensure proper equipment maintenance and operational capability
- Establish departmental goals and performance standards; provide professional development and coaching to technical personnel
- Develop and administer the Engineering and Maintenance departmental budget in cooperation with management
- Ensure compliance with company policies regarding safety, purchasing, regulatory requirements, and labor relations, including ISO 14000, RC9001, QS9000, and TS16949 certifications
Salary Range: $135,000-$145,000 based on education, experience, and qualifications of the applicant.
Qualifications
**Qualifications:**
- B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical); advanced degree preferred
- 5+ years' experience in chemical and industrial manufacturing environments with demonstrated project management expertise
- Excellent communication and employee relations skills across all organizational levels
- Strong technical analysis and problem-solving capabilities with ability to function in fast-paced, dynamic environments
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry certifications (ISO 14000, QS9000, TS16949)
