As a GSOC Operator, working on-site in Arlington, VA during the Second shift (1400-2245), investigating alarms, alerting security services, and informing fire services when necessary. Duties and Responsibilities
- Escalating and triaging incidents when necessary. Investigate alarms and respond by sending security patrol or alerting Fire services or Police, as needed.
- Provide first line assistance to company employees in all concerns relating to safety and security, including monitoring the safety and security of travelling employees, including overseas.
- Notify and coordinate responses through the distribution of advisories and other communications, compile, review, and log incident reports and daily reports.
- Follow procedures for managing a variety of incidents, from minor incidents at the local level to global crises.
Qualifications
Minimum
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong Customer Service skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, at times stressed work environment.
- Strong team player.
- Comfortable with high-tech working environment, and willing to learn new tools and innovations.
- Flexibility to work a variety of different shifts, and willingness to assist the team with overtime when needed.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office Suite.
Preferred
- Prior experience in a GSOC, Security Operations Center (SOC), TOC, or similar.
- Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs/Relations/Business, Emergency Management, Political Science, Criminal Justice, or related discipline.
- Experience with security systems, including alarm monitoring, electronic access control, and CCTV.
- Experience with mass employee notification systems.
Additional Information
Successful candidates will be invited to complete a writing assessment (at an arranged time to suit you) to test writing and analytical ability. Shortlisted applicants will then be invited to a final panel interview. In the current environment, our interviews will be conducted virtually.
The remuneration for this role is negotiable for the right candidate, dependent on qualifications, aptitude and experience. The salary for this position is $26/hour to $28/hour.
