Job Description

As a Consultant at Sia Partners, you will assume the following responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Under the direction of the project manager, contribute to project work across a range of clients, based either at Sia Partners’ offices or at a client site
  • Support the Energy & Utilities team in producing proposals and other client materials
  • Contribute to the development of the Sia Partners in the Energy & Utilities UK market (publication of articles, infographics, videos, networking…)
  • Track the latest developments and activity across the Energy sector
  • Support other sector & service teams within Sia Partners (Innovation, Data Science, Transformation & Change, Banking) to share information and develop cross-sector offerings
  • Facilitate your own learning through self-study and receive training from more senior members of the organisation

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of management consulting or other relevant experience in the Energy industry
  • Strong academic background (Engineering, Economics or Business preferred)
  • Strong interest in the Energy sector
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • The ability to adapt rapidly, and work on a range of different business areas within a challenging environment and tight deadlines

The ideal candidate:

  • Experience working for a well-known consultancy or for a key industry actor such as regulated Utilities, Suppliers, Oil and Gas companies or Infrastructure Funds
  • Project experience covering strategy design, regulatory analysis, operational improvement and/or project management within a relevant environment
  • A demonstrable understanding of the energy value chain
  • Examples of utilising and visualising quantitative analysis to generate actionable insight
