Our Western Canada Team is growing and looking for exceptional consulting professionals to join us. We provide unique opportunities to work with high-profile clients and support transformative initiatives across diverse industries, including energy, utilities, public sector, technology, and other complex business environments.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Management Consultant – Business Analyst to support clients through business, technology, and AI-enabled transformation. The ideal candidate is a strong consultant with hands-on experience analyzing business processes, gathering and documenting requirements, supporting solution design, and helping organizations translate business needs into practical, actionable outcomes.
This role requires a structured problem-solver with strong analytical thinking, stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and communication skills. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in complex and ambiguous environments, partnering with both business and technical teams to define problems, assess current-state processes, identify improvement opportunities, and support the successful delivery of transformation initiatives.
The candidate should also demonstrate an understanding of emerging technologies, including Generative AI and agentic AI, and how these capabilities can be applied responsibly to improve business processes, enhance decision-making, increase efficiency, and support new ways of working.

- While our offices are located in Alberta, you may be asked to work East Coast hours should our client have that requirement.

Key Responsibilities
- Apply strong management consulting skills, including structured problem-solving, analytical thinking, stakeholder engagement, executive-level communication, facilitation, business case awareness, and the ability to translate complex and ambiguous business needs into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Partner with clients and stakeholders to understand business objectives, current-state challenges, operational needs, and transformation goals.
- Facilitate workshops and working sessions to gather requirements, validate processes, align stakeholders, and support decision-making.
- Create and analyze business process maps, including current-state “as-is” and future-state “to-be” processes, and identify required changes, gaps, dependencies, and impacts to roles, people, systems, and operations.
- Identify, document, and analyze business rules, information needs, functional requirements, and process requirements using industry-standard business analysis tools and techniques.
- Conduct fit/gap analysis of proposed solutions and support feasibility studies, cost/benefit analyses, planning initiatives, and development of new deliverables.
- Research, analyze, and identify system or process gaps, recommend improvements, and support the deployment of practical business and technology solutions.
- Develop, review, and maintain key business analysis deliverables, including Business Requirements Documents, functional specifications, traceability matrices, process documentation, and decision materials.
- Monitor and measure process effectiveness to ensure consistent value delivery and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Support change management activities, including change impact identification, stakeholder engagement, communications, and review or creation of training materials.
- Participate in testing activities, including test planning, process validation, execution support, issue resolution, and facilitation of User Acceptance Testing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or information technology or equivalent education plus experience
- 5-10 years experience working as a Business Analyst or PM/Scrum Master on IT projects
- Experience working specifically with Microsoft technologies will be considered an asset
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (understanding the roles and responsibilities of various team members). Any formal SCRUM or AGILE certifications will be considered an asset
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills. Ability to interact with key business stakeholders as well as technical team members
- Experience and knowledge of project management principles and methodologies
- Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical, lay terms
- Motivated by an entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable with ambiguity
- Confident, self-aware collaborator open to receiving and providing, effective feedback
- Business Analyst Certification is considered an asset
- Change Management Certification is considered an asset
