Job Description

The Operator Engineer trainee will be responsible for Operating production machines, ensuring smooth running of processess, maintaining quality standards, an follow safety procedures on shop floor.

  • Assist in day-to-day production operations to meet targets and quality standards
  • Monitor machine performance, cycle time, and productivity
  • Ensure proper setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting of machines
  • Coordinate with maintenance for breakdowns and preventive maintenance
  • Maintain production records, logs, and reports
  • Ensure adherence to safety rules, SOPs, and quality procedures
  • Support implementation of 5S, Kaizen, Lean, and TPM activities
  • Work closely with quality, stores, and planning teams
  • Reduce rejection, wastage, and downtime on the shop floor

Qualifications

Qualification - Diploma in Mechanical 

  • Good knowledge of manufacturing processes (CNC / VMC / Lathe / Milling / Assembly – as applicable)
  • Basic understanding of engineering drawings & GD&T
  • Knowledge of production planning and control (PPC) is a plus
  • Familiar with measuring instruments (vernier, micrometer, gauges)
  • Basic computer skills (MS Excel, reports)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Experience required: One to Three years of experience.
