In this role you will be responsible for safe administration of all prescribed medications and treatments as listed on the Medication Administration Record (MAR) and Treatment Administration Record (TAR), as well as providing personal and general nursing care to residents as needed or assigned.
Looking for someone to cover a 2:00pm - 10:00pm shift, 3 days a week.
Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Full Time QMAP (Qualified Medication Administration Personnel) to join our Memory Care team in Colorado Springs, United States. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality care and support to residents with memory-related conditions such as Alzheimer's and dementia.
- Administer medications to residents according to prescribed orders and facility protocols
- Monitor residents for medication side effects and report any concerns to the nursing staff
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medication administration records
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care and grooming
- Engage residents in memory-enhancing activities and social interactions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive resident care
- Respond promptly to resident needs and emergency situations
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
- Adhere to all state regulations and facility policies regarding medication administration and resident care
Qualifications
- Current QMAP (Qualified Medication Administration Personnel) certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Previous experience in memory care or assisted living facilities preferred
- Strong knowledge of medication administration techniques and safety protocols
- Understanding of memory-related conditions and appropriate care techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain accurate records and attention to detail
- Physical ability to assist residents with daily living activities
- Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine interest in working with seniors
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
