Geometry Technician – Gap & Flush Measurements (Monorail)

The Geometry Technician will be responsible for carrying out gap and flush measurements in accordance with the provided measurement procedures and control references.
The role involves performing measurements on train interfaces, documenting findings accurately, supporting non-conformity evidence collection through photos, and producing structured deliverables for each vehicle inspected.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Gap & Flush Measurements according to the provided measurement methodology
- Carry out inspections on monorail vehicles, including head cars and central cars
- Use measurement gauges and related tools to record interface dimensions and conformity status
- Prepare and complete inspection records / PVs for each vehicle
- Capture photo evidence for each interface inspected
- Provide photo-based evidence for identified non-conformities
- Contribute to the preparation of structured technical files and presentation materials
- Submit daily progress updates and support weekly reporting as required
- Ensure traceability and quality of all measurement and inspection records
- Follow site EHS rules and all project safety requirements during execution
- Work closely with the technical focal points and site teams throughout the assignment
Qualifications
- Diploma or technical training in Mechanical, Industrial, Measurement, Quality Control, Rail, or equivalent
- Proven experience in dimensional control, geometry checks, measurement activities, or industrial inspection
- Experience in railway, rolling stock, monorail, transport, or industrial equipment projects is highly preferred
- Ability to read and apply technical procedures and inspection instructions
- Experience preparing inspection reports, records, or technical documentation
- Comfortable working on-site in an operational project environment
- Good knowledge of MS Office tools, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to work with autonomy while maintaining daily reporting discipline

- Camera / photo device for inspection evidence
- MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Additional Information
- Immediate mobilization required
- Assignment based in Cairo
- Short-term field mission on a strategic mobility project
- Candidates with prior experience in rail / rolling stock / monorail measurements will be strongly preferred
