Job Purpose
To review, verify, and endorse technical analyses, procedures, and engineering studies related to marine transportation, offloading, offshore installation, vessel performance, and marine machinery reliability. We are seeking experienced Marine Consultancy Services Professionals to support offshore marine operations, inspections, engineering reviews, diving supervision, and vessel/barge representation activities for major offshore oil and gas projects. These roles require strong offshore experience, solid understanding of marine safety and operational standards, and the ability to work in demanding offshore project environments. Suitable candidates will be assigned based on project needs across marine inspection, advisory, engineering, diving, and offshore construction support functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support routine marine office activities including vessel monitoring, tender scope preparation, risk assessment review, and contractor audits
- Conduct technical inspections of vessels and jack-up barges/rigs for operational and HSE compliance
- Evaluate machinery performance, fuel efficiency, and reliability of hired marine vessels
- Maintain and verify fuel consumption records and prepare periodic monitoring reports
- Follow up on classification compliance after repairs or damage
- Provide engineering input for projects, incidents, and technical investigations
- Prepare marine engineering technical reports as required
Qualifications
- Unlimited Class 1 Motor Certificate of Competency from an accepted issuing country
Experience
- Minimum 5 years as Marine Chief Engineer on vessels above 5000 HP
- Relevant office-based marine industry experience
- Shipbuilding experience is an advantage
Additional Information

- Strong offshore oil and gas marine experience
- Sound knowledge of marine safety, HSE, and operational procedures
- Experience working with offshore vessels, barges, or marine construction units
- Good technical reporting and communication skills in English
- Ability to work in offshore operational environments and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong compliance mindset and familiarity with international marine standards and best practices
